Biography: Mr.Zhiping Zhao was born in Gaomi in 1945, graduated from Qingdao Arts and Crafts School in 1965. He has been in charge of the department of painting in Qingdao Arts and Crafts School and in department of art in Qingdao school board since 1973. He has received the award of the greatest teacher in Shandong and he has developed a unique method to teach others in the art of painting. He has successfully nurtured multiple great Chinese artists from all over the country to become famous. His students are now situated all over the world, representatives of China's leading advances in art and culture. He studied with Mr.Jiecheng Xu when he was 17. In the 20 years painting with his teacher, he became very serious about his artwork, therefore creating a strong foundation for the years to come. He has always strived to achieve balance between Chinese and Western cultures, between traditional and modern art, as well as between philosophy and emotion. He has been praised as a "master of colour" by fellow artists. His works are recognized and valued all around the world. |
