Biography:

Mr.Shiyu Jiang, born in Qingdao in 1939, has been devoting himself to watercolour painting for more than 50 years.

Having received several awards in national art exhibitions, his works were selected by the Ministry of Culture of PRC to be shown in many other countries as well as to be collected by the organizers such as in Egypt, Japan, Morocco, the United States, Thailand, Sweden, Singapore and Malaysia.

Mr. Jiang's fine works were put up for exhibition in the Asian Watercolour Painting Exhibition, the First World Watercolour Painting Exhibition, the China - Japan Watercolour Exhibition, the China - South Korea Art Exhibition, and the Watercolour Fine Works Exhibition of Hundred Chinese Artists in South Korea and Taiwan, China.

"Morning of Church", his magnum opus, was collected by the National Art Museum of China.

In 1997, another one of his works, "Soul", received the award of excellence in an international art exhibition organized by the U.S., Japan, and Canada, which was also collected by the organizing committee.

In 2001 and 2007, his individual watercolour exhibitions were successfully held in Toronto and Vancouver, where most of the displayed works were collected and he himself became a member of the Ontario Art Academy.
